Provider of numerous storage solutions, Broadcasting Center Europe (BCE) has launched its new offering called itstored; a highly secure Cloud storage solution, fully compatible with the S3 protocol.
BCE has added a Cloud solution to its storage portfolio called itstored (“it’s stored”), which complements its online, nearline and offline offerings. While many providers are already offering Cloud storage, BCE has carefully reviewed the market and its customers’ needs and came up with a solution which matches the large volume activities of the major B2B players.
“Our recent move to RTL City in Luxembourg gave us the confidence to offer a solution which would be able to answer the needs of our most demanding customers in both media and non-media related activities” explains Xavier Boschian IS&T Director at BCE. “The two redundant datacenters offer both security and availability of the content.”

GDPR compliant, the new solution will be hosted in BCE’s datacenter located in Luxembourg. This state-of-the-art platform offers extended bandwidth for unlimited traffic to and from the content. To answer to the most demanding customers’ needs, BCE can also configure file mirroring to a second datacenter located on the outskirts of the city of Luxembourg over a dark fiber connection. The whole platform is monitored on a 24/7 basis and regular failover tests ensure the resilience of both sites.
Itstored is fully compatible with the S3 (Simple Storage Service) protocol and can therefore be immediately integrated within the customer’s workflow. Being a worldwide standard, S3 ensures the compatibility of itstored with most existing systems and applications including: Amazon Web Services™, Commvault™, NetApp™, Office365™, Qnap™, Signiant™, Synology™, Telestream™ and Veeam™ to name but a few.
“Itstored can directly store videos, audio, pictures, office documents, projects, reports and any other type of files,” says Jean-Alain Jachiet, CIO at BCE. “While our customers were looking for a fast and reliable system, they were also looking for a cost-effective solution.”

Itstored costs are not based on data traffic, like some of the competitors of BCE, but they are based on the number of TB storage space used in one or two datacenters for redundancy purpose. As a result, BCE allows its customers unlimited actions to their cloud storage. It is possible to upload, download, move, list and delete content without any restriction or additional cost.

“It was important to offer a real alternative to the existing cloud storage solutions. With its annual flat rate, its datacenter located in Europe, its unlimited use and its enhanced security, itstored breaks the existing rules and offers one of the fastest cloud storages on the market.” Concludes Laurent Seve, Marketing Manager at BCE.
